Use the Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee Remastered Steam trial to compare its three kaiju and local or online match options.

What the Trial Includes

The Steam free trial is a useful way to check whether the remastered brawler fits your group before buying. Its listed roster is small: Gigan, King Ghidorah, and Godzilla. You can play with up to four people locally or use online one-versus-one quick matches.

Treat the trial as a comparison session, not a tour of the full roster. Pick one fighter and play a short local round first. If you are testing with friends, keep the same characters for another round so you can focus on how the match feels rather than on learning a new fighter. Then try the online quick match if you want to check the one-versus-one format. A trial with only three kaiju cannot answer questions about every fighter or every full-game mode.

A Quick Trial Checklist

  1. Choose a familiar matchup. Start with Godzilla if you want the series’ central kaiju, or pick Gigan or King Ghidorah if those are the characters you want to test. Keep the matchup unchanged for a second round.
  2. Use local play to test the group setup. The trial allows up to four local players. Confirm that everyone can join comfortably before spending time comparing fighters.
  3. Try the online format separately. Online quick matches are one-versus-one, so do not expect the trial’s online option to reproduce a four-player local session.
  4. Write down what the trial does not cover. The listed demo roster is not a confirmed list of the full game’s selectable kaiju, and the trial announcement does not describe every campaign or unlock.

After those checks, decide based on the mode you actually want. If your main interest is a larger local group, the local trial limit is the relevant test. If you care about quick online duels, try that mode directly. Keep conclusions narrow: the trial can demonstrate its listed fighters and match formats, but it cannot establish the full game’s complete roster or every feature.
